Hello! I'm Andrew, and I'm the owner of Macpherson Photography.
I'm a wedding photographer who splits his time between East Anglia and the Peak District, meaning that I'm able to cover a pretty wide area - in other words, if you're getting married anywhere in the northern hemisphere, please get in touch!
About my photography
I prefer the documentary style of wedding photography - you'll have spent lots of time planning your perfect day, so this approach allows me to capture your most beautiful moments as they occur. Ahead of your wedding, we will meet to discuss your ideas, preferences and requirements, and I will make every effort to deliver exactly what you dream of.
Many couples also like to arrange some group shots (family, friends, etc.), which is of course part of the service I offer - but, for the majority of the day, I blend discreetly into the background, letting you and your guests enjoy your celebrations without interruption! I believe that I am naturally friendly, considerate and respectful, so you can rest assured that I will conduct myself impeccably when dealing with you and your guests.
I am fully insured and am DBS checked - evidence for both is available upon request. For all my professional work, I use Sony Alpha full frame mirrorless cameras and Sony GM lenses (see my blog on gear here!). I have a robust and reliable workflow in place to minimise the risk of anything going wrong (you don't get a second chance to shoot a wedding ceremony!). About me
I've been fascinated by photography since childhood, after discovering the contents of my dad's film SLR camera bag at an early age! After various digital compact cameras, I invested my first Nikon DSLR around 20 years ago, but have been shooting on Sony and OM mirrorless systems since 2020.
In fact, as you may be able to tell from my picture above, I love photography SO MUCH that I ensure that my hair is always exactly 18% grey (trust me: if you're a fellow photography nerd, that is the funniest joke you've ever heard!).
As well as my professional work, I enjoy taking my camera out for a walk whenever possible - to have a look at my personal photo site, please check out Wandering Eye.
Apart from photography, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two daughters in our rural Suffolk home. I also love listening to music, and watch my beloved Spurs play whenever possible (despite the suffering, misery and disappointment that it inevitably causes).
